RÆBURN has undertaken a meticulous deconstruction process of race worn Formula 1 Nomex® suits from Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and their mechanics, with each suit being carefully disassembled and reimagined.
These incredible source artefacts have helped us to realise this style, the Mercedes-AMG F1 x PUMA x RÆBURN Masterpiece T-Shirt. The T-shirt is crafted primarily from Mercedes drivers' base layer T-shirts and leggings, the very garments worn under their main race-suits for optimal performance on the track. Additional paneling from the mechanics' suits is incorporated on the overarms.
This piece preserves the authenticity of the original garments by featuring their original labeling, ensuring a genuine connection to its racing origins. A QR code is also included, allowing enthusiasts to delve deeper into the arteact's history and materials. Only 5 units have been produced, each featuring an embroidered story label detailing the materials used and the collaborative journey behind this limited-edition piece.
RÆMADE items have been created by taking existing surplus materials, products and artefacts and reworking them into completely new products. As a result of this upcycling process, no two RÆMADE products are identical and may include some inherent faults and/or characteristics of the original materials, products and artefacts used to make them.
